I'm Japan sick.

I'm Japan sick.. not home sick.. or more or less homeyjapansick.
I MISS IT SO MUCH!!
honestly.. what a blast :)

YEsterday was more festival times...
I was in a parade, and was pretty much a huge celebrity.. it was intense!!
ONce again it was gorgeous at sunny!!
then later onI had to dress up in my evening gown, ther was this huge ball/dinner banquet in my honor.. it was so nice talking with all the people.. so many pictures.. and I had a speech.. HOly smokes.. the translator though.. he:s ridiculous.. and doesn:t know a thing!! bahahah... I will have to write a whole blog just on him later!
But yes!! ONe of the contests at the banquet was to guess the color of my dress.. then people were being awarded prizes of they guessed right! But all in all.. a good night.
Once again.. dinner was hilarious.. so many laughs.

Today we got up early to go to Kyoto! Japan:s Old capital city..
It was BEAUTIFUL!!! we went to a couple of temples and shrines.. took many pictures..
I even had the chance to meet some REAL GEISHA:s!!! YES LISA... GEISHA:s!!!
THe Kuwahara:s want me to stay a few more months to keep up with my Japanese.. which surprisingly is actually getting much better!! Keiko and Hiro came with us to Kyoto. and she was helping me along with my Japanese. Downtown Kyoto there was GREAT shopping.. a lot of traditional gifts.. and then some stores like Gucci, Louis Vitton, Chanel. etc! We had a whole Tofu lunch.. which was AMAZING!!
But i:m going to go chit chat some more. lovelovelove!!!

full day number 2

Hello! now that i have some time to write.. I:ll fill you in on what has been done: PS. my english is really bad again because i find I am talking a lot slower.. so people will undertand me.. even when Denise and I talk to eachother. it seems a lot more peicey. then we start laughing and thing.. WAIT WE SPEAK ENGLISH.. haha we don:t have to talk like this.

so this was friday.　the places we visited and people we met+
SHinto Shrine (itutu) and I pulled out a very good fortune. apparently it:s really rare and not scene ver often..
The Recycling and Garbage plant..
THe police station and watch some Kendo fighting.. man oh man.. all there is is YELLING when they fight.
THe Bank
The Chamber of Commerce
ROtary Club for lunch.. and a speech (random) but good food!
then to the Fire Department. and learned out to properly extinguish a fire.. and get dressed up in a firemans outfit.
Met with the Ｍａｙｏｒ　and was recorded..
I recieved many gifts!! ANd gave out many as well.

The Kuwahara:s are soo soo nice!

Today+
Opening ceremonies.. we wore our ＨＡＰＰＹ　Ｃｏａｔｓ and sat on stage for the opening act.. The Mayor was introduced.. and he gave a speech. then I made a speech.
Met many more people... then went to the Canada/Kelowna booth and shook hands and sold little trinkets.
SOO the festival officially started.. it was beautiful blue skies and sunshine.. 21 degrees ;) when the day before it was raining cats and dogs!
So we visited around the festival..l SOO many people wanted to take their picgtures with us.. and give us gifts! it was so cute.. haha.. and I tried MANY different foods.. cactus icecream... this octopus dishes and many more.
SOOO TIRED!!

THEn after my nap.Denise, Mr. Kuwahara, Yohei and I went to the casino!! Pachenko. It:s a really confusing slot machine.. honestly I had no idea what I was doing.. but hey! it was fun.. I:m the one of the 2 ladies who have been here whose ever won!! I won over　ｏｎｅ　ｈｕｎｄｒｅｄ　ｄｏｌｌａｒｓ　 Yay! so then i received my prize.. a necklace and Escada pefume!! wohoooo!

Dinner was absolutely delicious as always (oishii - delicious)

My japanese is coming along.. hahaha.

but I:m so tired! so I amn going to sleep.. The time Change is 16 hours officially... you are behind.. lol. (don:t worry.. the world doesn:t end today) ICAN TELL YOU THAT SINCE I :M IN THE FUTURE.. BAHAHH.
oh and ps. the toilets.. VERY high tec.. haha

HELLO!! I AM HERE!

Hello hello everyone!!
I AM OFFICIALLY in Japan. HOWEVER I CAN ONLY　WRITE A REALLY QUICK MESSAGE.. AND I DON:T KNOW HOW TO GET THE CAPS LOCK OFF..
THE PLANE RIDE WAS FORVER... BUT THERE ARE SO MANY LIGHTS HERE.. EVERYONE IS SOO NICE.. AND TOMORROW IS GOING TO BE SO FRIGGEN BUSY... I:VE BEEN UP FOR OVER 24 HOURS RIGHT NOW.. I DEFINATELY HAD SOME JET LAG.

Time.. how abstract

One sleep.. one sleep, one SLEEP!

Isn't it funny how Time can go fast and time can go slow.. even though in reality it is constantly going at one pace. But is it even a pace? It's just there. or here. If we didn't have all the contraptions to keep track of time.. how would we know what time was like? If there was no sun to rise and fall indicating a day.. or no moon to look at in the sky. WHAT the heck is it? Right now time feels like it is going by slowly.. but the other thing is, how is it even going by? It can't.. cause we are constantly trapped in time. It is utterly abstract, and beyond comprehension. And the more I think about it.. the more the concept is bending in my mind.. and going around in circles. around and around and around and around and around.. all I know is that there is roughly 13 hours, and 51 minutes until take off from the Kelowna Airport and make my way to Japan.

ANNND another crazy thing about time? I leave Wednesday at 6am, but I won't arrive in Japan until Thursday night.. yet I'm travelling far less that 24 hours. I skip a whole section of time... I will never experience life in those hours of travelling and crossing the international dateline. I will completely eliminate it from my being.

Getting Back in the swing of the Blog.

Hecccckkkkaaa.
Okay. So I pretty much haven't used this puppy since.. well forever ago.
And I realized most of what comes out on this page is nonsense.. but some of the nonsense is a good laugh.. like the Domincan trip.. that was very blog-worthy. Annnnd.. now that Lauren is back from Africa.. I just hope that I have a as dedicated blog reader as her.

So here's the deal why this is kick-starting once again. I.. Jillian Fugedi.. Am heading off to Japan on Wednesday October 17.. at 0600 hours. Heck yes!! That's soo soon! I'm going for Lady of the Lake purposes.. making some speeches, attending the festival, running a booth.. and eating A LOT of sushi! mmmm.. real Maki! What could be better?! sooo yes. That is the jyst (gist ??) of it. I don't actually believe that I am really going.. I don't think I'll realize it until I'm half way through my trip, when I get overwhelmed from the attention i get because of my not-even-that-blonde blonde hair.

Packing was a drag. I definately was not in the mood.. and I admit.. did not make it that easy for the parentals. C`est la vie!

anyways.. i better go to sleep.. not because I have to.. just because I want to. Heck, who doesn`t like sleep.
